Viewers are the final designer.

Urban narratives come together like accidents, created mainly by people's disparate choices.

Urban landscapes are like natural landscapes in that they self-organize into interesting vignettes.

The emergent result is greater than any one person can cause to exist by deliberate design. It's only by a mind's-eye being there and capturing the image that the emergent result can come together and exist. Viewers are the final designer.

The urban narrative requires an observer's interpretation in order for it to exist. Without the viewer the emergent result can not exist at all.

And our interpretations reveal us.

The urban landscape vignettes are revealing narratives about us; our priorities and values, what we strive for, our aesthetics, our health.
